Intensive Outpatient Programs
Defining Mental Health:
Understanding Key Concepts
"Intensive Outpatient Program or IOP"
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are structured treatment programs designed to provide comprehensive support for individuals dealing with moderate to severe addiction, depression, or anxiety. Clients receive multiple therapy sessions throughout the week, including group therapy and individual counseling, allowing them to maintain their daily responsibilities while still receiving intensive care and guidance towards recovery. IOP typically involves longer treatment durations compared to hospital-based programs, helping to prevent relapses and build a solid support system for lasting recovery.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for Substance Use Disorders
Welcome to Hegira Health's intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, designed specifically for adults struggling with substance use disorders. Our IOP programs offer structured and highly focused treatment services, ideal for individuals who require more than weekly counseling to achieve their treatment goals. Our aim is to create a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages and promotes recovery. The intensity, focus, and duration of treatment are tailored to meet each individual's needs.
Who Can Benefit from IOP?
Our IOP programs are suitable for individuals with mild to moderate symptoms that require monitoring and stabilization. It is also beneficial for those facing high-stress life circumstances, making it challenging to cope with urges and cravings to use substances. Additionally, individuals who have not been able to stabilize their substance use within a traditional outpatient setting can find great support through our IOP programs.
At Hegira Health, our goal is to provide supportive and solution-oriented interventions that are specifically tailored to each individual. We understand that every person is unique, and our IOP programs are designed to be flexible and responsive to your individual needs. We strongly encourage participants to make use of additional resources such as AA/NA for additional support and a comprehensive approach to recovery.

Our Dedicated Staff
Our experienced team at Hegira Health consists of psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, and professional counselors. We work collaboratively, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions, to ensure that our services are flexible, comprehensive, and tailored to meet each individual's needs. Our team interventions focus on understanding the disease of addiction, implementing effective relapse prevention planning, and helping individuals develop a healthy, satisfying substance-free lifestyle.
Intensive outpatient treatment offers a highly effective alternative to hospital-based addiction treatment. However, individuals requiring medical detox must first complete a hospital stay. With a longer time commitment, IOP counseling reduces relapse risks and fosters a strong support system for recovery.
